All framed artwork is shipped with UV plexiglass for safety and longevity considerations. Matting - Archival matting is included in the price of all Fine Art Prints and optional with Giclee Standard and Fuji Supergloss Prints. Crescent 4 ply, acid free, 100% rag matboard is used unless another product is specified. This matboard is neutral white and is commonly used in museum mounting where archival properties are required. The top mat is attached with acid free linen tape to an acid free foam core backing or, in the case of small prints (11x14" or smaller prints on 18 x 22" matboard), a 4 ply backing is chosen which is identical to the top mat. Custom Hardwood - These frames are hand made from selected hardwoods which include: Hawaiian Koa, Maple, Mahogany (light or dark), New Guinea Rosewood (Nara), Walnut, and Zebra Wood. Woods are selected to match the tonalities of the print and are finished to a high lustre and waxed. Allow three weeks for construction. Some woods may take longer depending on availability of raw lumber. Small frames measure 1/2" wide on the face and are 1 1/8" deep. Large (25 x 33" and above) measure 3/4" wide on the face and 1 1/4" deep. See samples below.
